This case study has been conducted as part of the IIED project “Protecting Community Rights over Traditional Knowledge: Implications of customary laws and practices”. The project explored the customary laws and practices of indigenous and local communities to identify appropriate mechanisms for protecting their resource rights and knowledge systems.
