What is Tavol?
Naufasan Tavol is a form of Murut Tahol traditional knowledge in
management of natural resources. Tavol means protection or prohibition of
against conducting activities and resource collection without agreement
from the community. Tavol covers the Iningaan Mai area which includes
forests, rivers, water catchments, sacred sites and resource collection
areas such as for traditional medicine and handicrafts.
