g) Nunavut Fisheries Research
• Research on fish (includes shellfish, crustaceans and marine animals, in
whole or in part, throughout all life stages as defined in the Fisheries Act)
and marine plants in Nunavut requires a license to be issued under the Fisheries Act. Projects that could impact on fish habitat also may require an Authorization under the Act’s habitat protection provisions.
Deadline: Proponents are advised to apply for a license to fish for scientific
purposes 30 business days in advance of desired field start date.
